I think the video below is one of the most entertaining Mutton Bustin' rodeo events I have documented to date. There are lots of good rides and a bit of fun along the way, with an award at the end. Will views exceed the Saints' Roost videos? Time will tell with your approval. The video is the uncensored version published on the American Heartlands Channel, where you can see all recent uncensored videos.
The first black rodeo I documented included some remarkable Mutton Bustin' competition with an epic effort at the end of the event. Don't miss it!

The best group of mutton busters compete with lots of experience behind them, as they had to qualify to participate in a national finals championship. If only we could have seen a bit more lively action from the sheep in many cases, there would have been higher scores.
Here are the top mutton busters who made it to the short round to compete for the national title in the last NJBRA national championship. This round has received fewer views than the video just above. Why?

The Mounted Shooting playlist below currently contains 36 documentary videos recorded over four years in the #AmericanHeartlands. The latest series is from a CMSA-sanctioned competition in Queen Creek, Arizona.
As far as I know, there are two mounted shooting organizations in the USA. I first discovered the Cowboy Mounted Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) because they hold their World Finals competition in my hometown of Amarillo, Texas. Then, by pure luck, I discovered the United States Mounted Shooting (USMS) while covering other stuff in Vernon, Texas.
The full playlist of all the mounted shooting is viewable below, but I would like to highlight a special exhibition run during the most recent USMS shooting competition because it was the only time I saw it. The shooter is Moon Swanson, the host of the 1836 Chuckwagon Race on the Diamond B Ranch near Neches, Texas.
