Live at Starlight Theater
Smokey City Rhythm Review

The Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department hosts a Summer outdoor music concert every Tuesday evening from 7pm-9pm in Sam Houston Park located at Western and Line Avenue. The weekly music series features different local talent and is open to the general public with no admission fee. So bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food and beverage (NO GLASS CONTAINERS ALLOWED) and be prepared to enjoy some of the best musical talents Amarillo has to offer.

I have been recording the concerts this year as part of my effort to preserve contemporary live music entertainment in Amarillo for the historical record as one of the facets of my Heritage Preservation Project. There is an amazing number of musical performing groups in Amarillo and I have barely scratched the surface in discovering who they are and much less capturing video documentation of each group as evidenced on my Live Music In Amarillo, Texas page on this website.

If you would like to keep up to date on new live music videos, please like my Dusty Reins Page on Facebook.

I began recording the Starlight Theater series a couple of weeks late in the 2017 season but hope to record all of the rest of the concerts. Listed below are the result of what I have covered so far and those scheduled to appear for the rest of the 2017 season.
